Kenna Shafter is an enthusiastic, passionate and patient teacher. She has been a singer her entire life and is very excited to share all of the joy it has brought her with her students. Kenna will graduate from UH Manoa this spring with a B.A. in vocal performance (focus in musical theatre) and B.A. in psychology (focus in developmental psychology). Kenna is a classically trained soprano who has studied voice for more than ten years. She has performed professionally in musicals, choirs, and solo events throughout her musical career. Kenna is open to students of all ages. When teaching children, her goals are to inspire a lasting love for singing, help students discover their voice, and set them up for musical success through fun introductions to musical literacy. With older students, she caters very specifically to each singer’s hopes and goals, working as a partner to help them reach their vocal and musical potential.
