Raene is Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii.  She started her musical journey here at Chuck James Music School in 2008 when she started drum lessons under Chuck James.

Raene knew from a young age that music was her passion.  Over the next 10 years, she would broaden her drumming skills at Chuck James Music School to include genres of rock, jazz, Latin, marching, and more.  Her early practice got her into Robert Louis Stevenson Middle School’s Advanced Band in the 6th grade.  She would earn the spot as 2nd chair percussionist in the 7th grade, and eventually 1st chair in 8th grade.  After middle school, Raene would continue her journey in music and join the band program at Roosevelt High School.  In concert band, Raene was able to hone her skills and expand her percussion knowledge which allowed her to audition and successfully get into Roosevelt’s Symphonic Band by her sophomore year.  In 2019, she joined her school’s symphonic band as they went to New York to perform at Carnegie Hall for the 2019 New York Wind Band Festival where they received a Gold rating for their performance.  Raene was also a member of the marching band where she played Bass Drum in the drumline for 4 years.  With her marching experience, she was able to become a drumline/percussion section leader in her junior and senior years.

Raene is currently wrapping up her degree in Music Business at Honolulu Community College under their Music & amp; Entertainment Learning Experience (dubbed “MELE”) program with plans to
continue her studies at UH West Oahu’s Creative Media program.
