Ric Henry began his musical journey at the age of six as a featured soloist in a vocal group in
Los Angeles, performing regularly at school and community events. His passion for music
and performance deepened in high school, where he discovered a love for musical theatre
and acting. He went on to pursue formal training in musical theatre and acting at California
State University, Northridge, launching his professional career at the age of eighteen.

Over the course of a distinguished career spanning more than three decades, Ric has
performed leading roles in numerous acclaimed productions, including Godspell, Jesus
Christ Superstar, Cabaret, The Sound of Music, Phantom, The World Goes Round, Show Boat,
42nd Street, Evita, and West Side Story, among many others.

Ric’s work has taken him around the world, performing in musicals while also directing and
coaching both students and professionals. His teaching experience includes private
instruction, workshops, and master classes, as well as work in regional theatre and
Broadway-affiliated productions.

Now based in Hawaii, Ric brings his extensive experience and passion for performance to
his work at King’s Music Academy and Aloha Music School. His teaching focuses on
foundational vocal techniques such as breath control, vowel placement, and lyrical
interpretation, all tailored to the individual needs of each student.

With over 30 years of professional performance and teaching experience, Ric is dedicated to
helping students discover and develop their unique artistic voice. As he often says: “If
